Not legal, aviation or professional advice
SkyDroneNews publishes journalism about aviation regulation, radio-frequency law and counter-drone authority. It is not legal advice, aviation advice or professional consultation of any kind, and no reader-publisher relationship of any sort is created by using this site.
This matters more here than on most sites. Drone regulation in the United States is being rewritten continuously: rules described as pending may have published, effective dates may have moved, and state and local law adds requirements we do not cover. Anything we publish reflects our reading of public documents on the date shown and may be superseded without notice.
Before you fly, buy or act on anything here, verify it against the FAA, the FCC, the Federal Register and, where the stakes warrant, a lawyer who practises in this area. You are responsible for your own compliance.
Counter-drone content specifically
Our counter-UAS coverage describes the law as we understand it and deliberately declines to explain how to build, obtain or operate jamming, spoofing or mitigation equipment. Nothing on this site should be read as encouragement to interfere with any aircraft or radio transmission. Doing so may violate federal law and carries serious civil and criminal consequences that fall entirely on you.
Accuracy and corrections
We work from primary sources and cite them. We will still get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we correct the page and note what changed. Report an error to corrections@skydronenews.com.
Intellectual property
Original text, design and code on this site are ours. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link. You may not republish articles in full, and you may not use our content to train machine learning models without written permission. Third-party trademarks belong to their owners; referring to a product is not a claim of affiliation with or endorsement by its maker.

We link to other sites, including retailers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, products or practices. Following an external link takes you outside these terms and into theirs.
